Alloy steel tubes are considered to have high chromium concentration and low carbon percentage. These magnetic alloy steel boiler tubes have key qualities including high ductility, corrosion resistance, and stress-related corrosion cracking resistance. Therefore, IBR-certified alloy steel tubes are commonly used in automotive, kitchenware and industrial equipment applications.
High alloy steel and low alloy steel are two types of alloy steel. Low-alloy steel tubes consist of pipes with alloying percentage less than 5%. The alloy content of high alloy steels varies from 5% to approximately 50%. Similar to most alloys, the working pressure capacity of alloy steel seamless tubes is about 20% higher than that of welded tubes. Therefore, it is reasonable to use seamless tubes in applications requiring higher working pressures. The cost is much higher than welded pipe, although it is stronger.
Alloy steel seamless tubes are used for applications requiring moderate corrosion resistance as well as good durability and low cost. High temperature alloy steel boiler tubes are typically used for applications with ambient temperatures up to 500°C. For example, when used on a drilling rig, hollow and thin-walled alloy steel drill pipes must be able to withstand the pressure differences that occur inside and outside of these alloy steel seamless pipes.
Stainless steel alloy tube production
ASME SA213 boiler tubes are seamless in production. These are suitable for pipes with large diameter sizes. The pipe wall thickness varies from 1mm to 200mm, and the length can reach 12m. The progress and pressure grade of alloy steel seamless tubes are also varied. Diameter, wall thickness, and schedule determine the pressure capacity of a pipe. Beveled ends are also available. Applications requiring structural strength use alloy steel square tubes. The material consists of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon and 1% chromium and molybdenum. This material composition is responsible for the minimum yield strength of 205MPa and the minimum tensile strength of 41 5MPa. SA213 boiler tubes are used in condensers, heat exchangers, boilers and components to withstand high temperatures and pressures.

To prevent rusting during shipping, bundles of alloy seamless steel tubes may be wrapped in polypropylene sheets and secured with flat steel strips. More than 3 "outside diameter will be loosely supplied.
